| | You know, it happens in fantasy movies alot. Where the main character has to stop looking for the answer/solution for the problem to actually find it. Or when young heros have to make a unselfish move to be able to complete their journey. Reminds me of what God has been showing me lately, and last nite at Steve's Cru (haha, u like that?) Amanda reminded me of it as well. We have to be disciplined and make an effort to be unselfish in "what we want to do for God". Because when we start listening to teh distractions around us then God becomes harder to hear. Its in the Bible too: "In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires." Romans 6:11 "Since you died with Christ to the basic principles of this world, why, as though you still belonged to it, do you submit to its rules: Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!" Colossians 2:20 There are alot of verses about this sprinkled all over...probably so we dont forget. |
